Senators talked about Education Secretary Betsy DeVos for a full day before she was confirmed on Tuesday. But it didn’t always sound like they were talking about the same person: some pronounced her name “di-vose,” rhyming with “close,” while most said “di-voss,” rhyming with “moss.”
Her swearing-in ceremony offered another chance to hear her say it herself.
