Jennifer brings years of diverse development experience both designing and implementing fundraising strategies that led to measurable, proven results. With an interest in helping people understand our system of democracy, Jennifer joined Votebeat as the Manager of Philanthropy in January 2024. Jennifer has a life-long passion for improving communities. For over 16 years, she has engaged in career and volunteer experiences with nonprofit organizations in areas of food insecurity, mental health, addiction recovery, animal welfare, homelessness, environmental protection, and more. To increase her value to these important organizations, she graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Arts from Cleveland State University, a top ranking public affairs college in the nation, and obtained a Master of Public Administration from Ohio University with concentrations in nonprofit management and leadership. As a certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Jennifer enthusiastically believes in the power of data-driven decision-making and organizational efficiency. In her commitment to better the world around her, she regularly volunteers as a crisis counselor and raises money for children’s cancer research through the Great Cycle Challenge. When she isn’t involved in professional and personal philanthropic endeavors, she spends her time spoiling her pets, stargazing, and enjoying the many outdoor activities available year-round in sunny Florida.
