Jill Barkin

Board Member | Chair, Governance Committee Director of Education, The Beacon Fund

Jill S. Barkin is the Director of Education at the Beacon Fund – a social impact enterprise committed to using the full range philanthropic and market rate tools to create positive change. Previously, Jill served as Vice President of Board Governance for Teach for America and Vice President of Corporate Philanthropy for JP Morgan Chase. Prior to moving to Colorado in 2006, Jill worked in Massachusetts as a consultant to nonprofits and charitable foundations with New Profit Inc, the Monitor Institute, and FSG Social Impact Advisors. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors of Civic News Company, Jill is a Trustee at Graland Country Day School and was recently appointed to Governor Jared Polis’s Student Success Task Force. Previously, Jill served as a Board Member of A+ Colorado & Colorado Succeeds and on the Education Committee of The Denver Foundation. Jill holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from Williams College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She resides in Denver, Colorado with her husband, two sons, and their beloved chocolate lab, Hagen.
