Below is a list of private and public schools in Illinois closing in response to the novel coronavirus. Chalkbeat is reprinting the list, compiled by the Illinois State Board of Education, which requested closure plans from schools and districts. This list will be updated as more information arrives.
Some schools have already closed, but others are set to close on Monday. Most schools will reopen in mid-April, while others will remain closed longer. Some districts have instituted remote learning programs.
