For Bullying Prevention Month 2018, join Be Strong + top NYC non-profit & education leaders as we host the national assembly for bullying prevention/resiliency on October 18th at 11am EST, simulcast from Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall. Millions of students, grades 4-12, will be taught life changing social skills cored in resilience, inclusion & kindness as we focus on inspiring the next generation of our country’s leaders & the power of just one person to bring forth real change, starting right now, in their own school. The event will feature some of today’s top names in sport, entertainment & education. Denis Estimon (We Dine Together, Be Strong) & Jessie Funk (best-selling author, Broadway performer & motivational speaker) will be the keynote speakers/trainer. Music will be performed by America’s Got Talent fan favorites, Linkin’ Bridge and Kechi. Join us for an evening of true stories from Memphis educators and students. Chalkbeat Tennessee is hosting a storytelling event under the theme "Natural Consequences" alongside Spillit.
We'll explore how natural and unnatural, just and unjust consequences to actions impact our lives and experiences. Storytellers will deliver personal stories, and many of them will touch on how, in diverse ways, school discipline has impacted their lives. Don't miss our latest investigation into school discipline practices here.Tickets are 10 dollars and available at the door the evening of the show.
