Bolstering Learning through Building Social-Emotional Competencies and Family School Partnership Workshops
The four individual workshop sessions on “Bolstering Learning through Building Social-Emotional Capacities and Family-School Partnerships” will offer an in-depth look at the dynamics between family-school relationships, social-emotional skill-building, and children’s success in school and in life. Participants will come away with deeper conceptual framework as well as practical techniques to apply in their work with children. • February 21: Bolstering Students Social & Emotional Competencies • March 21: Strengthening Family School Partnerships • April 25: Impact of Context on Student Learning: Cultural & Community considerations. • May 23: Social Emotion Skill Building and Common Core Standards. o Each participant who registered for all four sessions will receive one copy of Competent Kids, Caring Communities' Family-School Collaboration Manual. Social workers can receive 3 Contact Hours (CEU’s) for NYS per session
