Are you ready to have a solutions-oriented conversation about race, inequity and implicit bias? Registration is open for the 6th annual Denver's Early Learning & Health Institute (DELHI) hosted by Denver's Early Childhood Council. Sessions include: An Introduction to the Synergy of Mindfulness & Cultural Responsiveness, Intercultural Organizations-Change from Within, Equity in Action- Discussion panel, Building Cultural Awareness, Embodying Equity- Understanding and Interrupting Implicit Bias and Systems of Oppression, Using Children's Programming, Picture Books and Playgrounds to ignite and facilitate a conversation with young children on social (in)justice and (in)equity, and Working with Children and Families who Experience Poverty. Join us for an evening of true stories from Memphis educators and students. Chalkbeat Tennessee is hosting a storytelling event under the theme "Natural Consequences" alongside Spillit.
We'll explore how natural and unnatural, just and unjust consequences to actions impact our lives and experiences. Storytellers will deliver personal stories, and many of them will touch on how, in diverse ways, school discipline has impacted their lives. Don't miss our latest investigation into school discipline practices here.Tickets are 10 dollars and available at the door the evening of the show.
