Attention High School Counselors & Parent Coordinators ! The Bronx United Federation of Teachers will host a borough-wide college fair for high school students and counselors. The purpose of this activitiy is to provide information about the various aspects for applying to college. ( i.e. admissions, financial aid, career & college readiness and ACT/SAT Test Prep.) Admissions Recruiters from over 100 colleges and universities will be on hand to meet with students applying to post-secondary institutions in the Fall for the 2018-19 school year. Additonally organizations that provide ancillary support services will be present to provide informations for students and counselors. A variety of College Prep Workshops will take place during the Fair for students. Join us for an evening of true stories from Memphis educators and students. Chalkbeat Tennessee is hosting a storytelling event under the theme "Natural Consequences" alongside Spillit.
We'll explore how natural and unnatural, just and unjust consequences to actions impact our lives and experiences. Storytellers will deliver personal stories, and many of them will touch on how, in diverse ways, school discipline has impacted their lives. Don't miss our latest investigation into school discipline practices here.Tickets are 10 dollars and available at the door the evening of the show.
