New York (October 2, 2017)- The New York City Department of Education is pleased to announce the third annual citywide Career and Technical Education (CTE) High School Fair at George Westinghouse High School. This event will provide middle school students, parents, guardians and families an opportunity to interact with leaders and students from our over 130 CTE schools and programs. The event will also showcase industry and college partners collaborating with CTE programs and a panel on "Bright Futures: Girls in CTE". CTE cutting edge programs unlock Pathways to Success in the following industries: *Automotive and Transport *Business and Finance *Construction and Sustainability *Culinary Arts, Hospitality and Tourism *Engineering, Architecture and Robotics *Healthcare *Information Technology *Law and Public Safety *Media Technology and Design

Join us for an evening of true stories from Memphis educators and students. Chalkbeat Tennessee is hosting a storytelling event under the theme "Natural Consequences" alongside Spillit.
We'll explore how natural and unnatural, just and unjust consequences to actions impact our lives and experiences. Storytellers will deliver personal stories, and many of them will touch on how, in diverse ways, school discipline has impacted their lives. Don't miss our latest investigation into school discipline practices here.Tickets are 10 dollars and available at the door the evening of the show.
