Collaboration Between Teachers and Therapists to Help Children Improve Sensory Behaviors and Self Regulation
Presented by Prudence Heisler & Paula McCreedy This session will assist teachers in their collaborative efforts with occupational therapist to recognize and understand the adaptive and distressed sensory signals from the children in their classrooms. An overview of sensory processing functions and systems will be provided. Strategies to capitalize on a child’s inner strength will be explored.
