While all of Colorado’s schools and districts face challenges, they are perhaps most acute in the rural areas of our state. Funding is very limited, teacher shortages are common, the majority of rural districts now operate on four-day school weeks, and achievement gaps remain stubborn. The good news is that many educators are developing innovative approaches to these rural challenges. Please join us for a conversation about these new ideas, and how rural educators are addressing current challenges. http://www.cvent.com/events/october-education-policy-networking-series/event-summary-03938219c74847a4bc21b07e1da71e72.aspx

Storytellers will deliver personal stories, and many of them will touch on how, in diverse ways, school discipline has impacted their lives. Don't miss our latest investigation into school discipline practices here.Tickets are 10 dollars and available at the door the evening of the show.
