This session will describe the critical factors and components that need to be in place at every tier of PBIS/MTSS to ensure that all students, including students with complex needs, have equitable access to academic and behavioral supports. Participants will explore strategies for strengthening Tier 1/Universal PBIS and discuss the changing roles of educators and mental health partners. In addition, strategies for effective parent-school partnerships, leadership, and teaming practices to support all learners will also be highlighted. We'll explore how natural and unnatural, just and unjust consequences to actions impact our lives and experiences. Storytellers will deliver personal stories, and many of them will touch on how, in diverse ways, school discipline has impacted their lives.
