Join mindSpark Learning staff at our amazing space and enjoy a day filled with fun activities and engaging learning opportunities for both teachers and kids. Participants will have the chance to engage with technology, science and art. Enjoy activities in coding, robotics, gaming, animation, 3D printing, virtual reality, gardening, art projects and science experiments with your peers and your kiddos. Navigate all the stations we’ll have set up with your personal mindSpark Learning passport, get unique stamps traveling from activity to activity and have a chance at some awesome prize giveaways with a full passport. During the last two hours of the day kids will embark on a guided design thinking project with mindSpark Learning experts, while teachers enjoy some time with their colleagues learning implementable tools of action for their classrooms and schools. Join us for an evening of true stories from Memphis educators and students. Chalkbeat Tennessee is hosting a storytelling event under the theme "Natural Consequences" alongside Spillit.
We'll explore how natural and unnatural, just and unjust consequences to actions impact our lives and experiences. Storytellers will deliver personal stories, and many of them will touch on how, in diverse ways, school discipline has impacted their lives. Don't miss our latest investigation into school discipline practices here.Tickets are 10 dollars and available at the door the evening of the show.
