Leveraging Community Voice
At Leveraging Community Voice, the Momentum Memphis Task Forces will meet again to take the next step in securing wins for our children and communities. We will host an advocacy workshop on direct messaging to elected officials who possess the power to implement the policies and practices our students need to be successful. We’ve built a foundation with at least ten education champions. Now we must take the next step to ensuring that the children of Memphis and Shelby County are their top priority. With new leadership comes the new opportunity and need to engage in fresh conversations about educational equity through funding and community investment, social and emotional needs of students, the school to prison pipeline, and strategic opportunities for student success. Our August Momentum Memphis meeting is a great place to start these conversations. We invite all newcomers to join one of our Task Forces for an engaging night of advocacy. Our staff, facilitators, and members are looking forward to your input. The only question is - Where will you make an impact?
