Learn how mindfulness can help you and your students reconnect your mind and body while at the same time improving attention and self regulation. Beginning with the basic neuroscience behind stress and how mindfulness tools and techniques can help prepare the brain for learning, we begin to notice the patterns of our mind. You will engage in activities that can be implemented right away to decrease stress and promote self-regulation, learning readiness and a positive peaceful school environment. This is an interactive and experiential workshop that includes small and large group sharing, games, activities, practices as well as some didactic teaching to help deepen your understanding of mindfulness and it's impact at your school. Participants should be prepared to interact and engage with others, reflect and have fun!
