Para-Place: An Exploration of the Spaces Betwixt and Between
Denver neighborhoods are experiencing accelerated social, economic, and demographic changes that affect us all. In this exhibit, contemporary artist JD Sell presents new work created in collaboration with Abraham Lincoln High School students, encouraging important conversations around these changes. Polaroid photography and screen-printed infused paintings explore the in-between spaces of our urban environment, from the unique perspective of Denver teens. Join the Department of Anthropology at the University of Denver for the exhibition opening on Thursday, February 2 at 5 pm in Sturm Hall, room 102. JD Sell will provide an artist talk with the students from Abraham Lincoln High School. Refreshments will be provided.
