Unlocking Potential is a conversation and activity series co-sponsored by Teach for America New York and ROADS Charter High Schools. The purpose of this series is to engage a diverse community of students, educators and law enforcement officers in the work of deconstructing the complicated relationships that exist between the NYPD and low-income communities of color in a post #ferguson world.
In doing so, we aim to raise our collective consciousness about issues of incarceration and criminal justice, and equip all participants with the tools needed to thoughtfully, personally and powerfully promote respect and understanding within our shared communities.
