Teachers of Color and Allies Summit
The Teachers of Color and Allies (TOCA) Summit is a daylong event that gathers local educators of color, administrators, equity scholars, and allies to provide collegial support, opportunities for networking and mentoring, and insights into best practices in education. Hosted by the CU Boulder School of Education in partnership with local school districts, the summit is held every fall. Keynote speaker Megan Bang, associate professor at the University of Washington, will discuss her acclaimed work focused on improving the quality of life and educational opportunities for communities historically disadvantaged by education, with a central focus on indigenous peoples and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Mathematics) education.
