Anyone administering and scoring the NYSESLAT must receive training in how to do so. In this session, attendees will learn about the administration of the 2017 NYSESLAT. We will practice scoring the Speaking and Writing subtests using the NYSESLAT rubrics. Attendees will have time to further explore scoring materials related to their particular grade bands. Attendees will leave knowing how to score the Speaking and Writing subtests of the NYSESLAT. They will walk away with materials to turnkey scoring to other qualified staff at their schools. (The material presented in this session will be identical to the info presented in the 03/20/17 session.)

Join us for an evening of true stories from Memphis educators and students. Chalkbeat Tennessee is hosting a storytelling event under the theme "Natural Consequences" alongside Spillit.
We'll explore how natural and unnatural, just and unjust consequences to actions impact our lives and experiences. Storytellers will deliver personal stories, and many of them will touch on how, in diverse ways, school discipline has impacted their lives. Don't miss our latest investigation into school discipline practices here.Tickets are 10 dollars and available at the door the evening of the show.
