Join Facing History and Ourelves for a five-day seminar that will use the Civil Rights Movement as a case study to consider this question: How do individuals and groups in a democracy organize to correct injustice? Using our resource, “Choices in Little Rock,” along with other civil rights materials, you’ll be introduced to strategies that can challenge students to think critically about themes of injustice and democracy, understand how change happens in a democratic society, and make meaningful connections to what is happening in today’s world.
