The Indiana State Board of Education finalized school letter grades for the 2014-15 school year today, and only 5.6 percent of the state’s schools saw their grades improve from 2014, compared with about 30 percent that improved from 2013 to 2014.
Those results come after Gov. Mike Pence last week signed Senate Bill 200 into law. The measure barred the Board from giving schools grades for 2015 that were lower than the grades they received in 2014.
