New York City’s graduation rates continued to tick up, reaching nearly 76 percent last year, education officials said Wednesday.
City leaders pointed to the 1.6 point increase as evidence that schools are broadly improving (though the state has simultaneously eased graduation requirements).
Dropout rates also improved a smidgen, falling to 7.5 percent from 7.8 percent.
