Edison High School principal Marilyn Perez Martinez submitted her resignation Thursday to become the superintendent of the 6,000-student Pennsauken, NJ school district.
Her appointment was confirmed by Mickey Fornito, secretary to the interim superintendent in Pennsauken.
School District of Philadelphia spokesman Fernando Gallard said that Ed Koch, a retired principal who has been on assignment as assistant principal at Edison for at least the past year, will take her place on an interim basis.
