CU, community college tuition votes set

Both the University of Colorado Board of Regents and the state community college board will meet this week to consider proposed 2013-14 tuition rates.

The regents meet Tuesday at the CU system’s Denver offices to consider increases proposed by the administration. The proposed increases for resident undergraduate students are 8.7 percent at the Boulder campus, 6 percent for the Denver campus and 6 percent for Colorado Springs. The community college board, meeting Wednesday at the Parker campus of Arapahoe Community College, will consider a proposed 6 percent increase for resident students and a system-wide fee increase of 1.9 percent.
