Healthy School score cards available

It’s time for schools to fill out their Healthy School Champions Score Cards again. The annual contest, in which about 30 Colorado schools earn monetary awards for school health efforts, runs till Jan. 17. Winners will be recognized in the spring.

The program, which involves a voluntary online self-assessment of best practices in the eight categories of Coordinated School Health, is funded by the Colorado Health Foundation and coordinated by the Legacy Foundation and the Colorado Department of Education. In the past, awards have ranged from $500 to $5,000 per school.
