What should a conference on charter schools discuss?

A national charter school advocacy group is looking for help in creating its summer conference in D.C. Have an idea for a good session topic? Apply to run one! Here’s the web site with more details.

The group, called the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools, says proposals have to fall under one of the following six “strands”:

Strand 1: Charter School Design & Instruction Strand 2: Charter School Facilities & Funding Strand 3: Performance & Accountability Strand 4: Policy Environment Strand 5: Advocacy & Messaging Strand 6: Governance, Operations & Leadership

A pre-emptive word to charter school critics who might say I’m shilling: The web site doesn’t say anything about having to be a charter school believer to propose a topic. You could apply, too.
