That approach is now off the table for good.“Instead, teachers are going to get the support and professional development they need, which is the only way to make sure our schools succeed at preparing our children for college and careers. “New York City schools are filled with the best teachers in the world. Our responsibility is to make sure they have the resources to succeed and thrive, so they can give our children the opportunity to succeed and thrive in turn. That’s the way we’re going to create great schools in every community.”
