Chicago teachers: What’s on your mind this year?

Since Chalkbeat Chicago launched earlier this summer, we’ve written about new troves of data around school choice, a spate of policy changes that affect public schools, and experiences from the point of view of families, students, and educators. Chalkbeat also has been focusing on the art and science of teaching, with such stories as this one, about a Little Village preschool teacher who is conducting unique research into nature play.

As we look toward fall, Chalkbeat Chicago would like to engage even more with educators. We are kicking things off with the survey below. As many Chicago teachers return to their schools next week, we are curious to know: What’s on your mind this year as you return to the classroom? What is something you are approaching differently from years past? And, last but not least, what is something (big or small) that would help you do your job better?

Chalkbeat Chicago plans to use the results of the survey below to inform a story about how Chicago teachers are thinking and feeling at the start of the new school year. If you have questions or want to reach us, feel free to reach out anytime to chicago.tips@chalkbeat.org.
